| TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Friday April 18, 2008 8:30pm: PATRIOT FIFE AND DRUM DUO. Free admission; OGUNQUIT BAPTIST CHURCH. 9:30pm: READING OF HENRY WADSWORTH LONGFELLOW’S “PAUL REVERE’S RIDE” Listen my children and you shall hear Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five … Revelations Gift Shop (in the former Methodist Church). Followed by the lighting of the lantern(s) in the bell tower. Free admission. 10:00pm: RE-ENACTMENT OF PAUL REVERE’S RIDE (with creative license, of course!) Watch as we raise the alarm (and the lantern -- or will it be two?) and our own costumed rider warns the citizens and tourists north of town that the “The Redcoats are coming!” 10:00pm – Midnight: MINUTEMAN MIDNIGHT MADNESS SALE Throughout Ogunquit, businesses will stay open late to give you the best deals in town! Saturday April 19, 2008 9:00am – 5:00pm: BEACH BAZAAR (SAME NAME, NEW LOCATION!) Treasures under the Big Top! Crafts, jewelry, clothing, antiques and more. Under the big tent on the grounds of the Ogunquit Playhouse. Free admission. 10:00am - 3:00pm: HAY RIDES (Weather permitting.) Originating from the Veterans Park. 10:00am – 5:00pm: KIDSTOWN AMUSEMENTS Ogunquit Playhouse (weather permitting). Train ride, swing ride, play area, bounce ride and games. Admission charged. Times TBD: TOURS OF THE OGUNQUIT PLAYHOUSE Look behind the scenes at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Visit Backstage, the Dressing rooms, and the Scene Shop! Sponsored by the Ogunquit Playhouse. Noon – 2:00pm: “TASTE OF THE TOWN” Sample a variety of the area’s best restaurants. “Kennebunk Savings Bank” Heated Tent on the grounds of the Ogunquit Playhouse. Don’t miss this!! $10.00 admission. 2:30pm: TORY TREASURE HUNT Use clues and passwords throughout downtown to beat the Tories to the prize! (Being observant at Friday’s Midnight Madness will give you an edge over your competition!) 7:00pm – Midnight: CASINO NIGHT Blackjack, roulette, and games of chance. Fun and excitement! Proceeds fund Patriots Day activities. “Kennebunk Savings Bank” Heated Tent on the grounds of the Ogunquit Playhouse. $5.00 admission. Sunday April 20, 2008 9:00am – 4:00pm: BEACH BAZAAR (same name, new location!) Treasures under the Big Top! Crafts, jewelry, clothing, antiques and more. Under the big tent on the grounds of the Ogunquit Playhouse. Free admission. 10:00am - 3:00pm: HAY RIDES (Weather permitting.) Originating from Veteran’s Park. $3 per person. Time TBD: CUB SCOUT PACK #356 ANNUAL DUCK RACE Ducks are $10.00 or 3 for $25 and can be purchased at Ogunquit Welcome Center or at the Beach Bazaar. 10:00am – 4:00pm: KIDSTOWN AMUSEMENTS On the grounds of the Ogunquit Playhouse (weather permitting).
